2016 9/11 Tribute

Despite hard work and dedication to contact sponsors and garner support for this event, we have not received sufficient sponsorship involvement to pull off a successful event.

Honestly, the interest to get involved just wasn't there this year.  (Very sad and disappointing!)
Times have changed, and we understand that.

This was a difficult decision for us, as honoring that sacrifice of our military is dear to our hearts.

We hope you will still take some time on September 11th to remember that Tuesday Morning, and the men and women who fought to make America safe.  We will be.

2012 9/11 Tribute

Public Event · By Game Plan Media
4982 New Broad Street, Orlando, FL 32814

Saturday September 15, 21012 5:00 – 11:30 PM
Take part in the largest first annual 9/11 Tribute Event in Baldwin Park honoring our fallen soldiers and civilians and the heroes in the US Navy on Saturday September 15, 2012.

Celebrate with us and honor the US Navy and Navy SEALs in a unique event that takes place on the former grounds of the closed Navy Base now known as Baldwin Park.

Did you know that Baldwin Park was once a Navy Recruit Training Center AKA: RTC Orlando? The Recruit Training Center (RTC) officially closed on March 31, 1995. During its existence more than 652,000 recruits graduated from RTC. Little remains to commemorate the effort made by the many young men and women at RTC who made the transition from civilians to dedicated, patriotic and “squared away” Sailors. We are on a mission to bring the Lone Sailor Navy Memorial to Blue Jacket Park, Orlando, FL, the site of the former RTC “Grinder” and USS Blue Jacket.

This annual event will not only honor the Navy, but will also continue to bring awareness to the closed RTC Orlando and soon to be Lone Sailor Navy Memorial.

Activities include:

• SPECWAR will provide PT Drills, activities and give aways
• US Navy will provide flight simulator and displays
• Museum of Military History will provide vehicles and displays
• Representatives from NJROTC Cadets and Sea Cadets
• Representatives from the US Navy and Navy SEALs
• Two man Volleyball Tournament (prizes to the winning team)
• Two man Corn hole Tournament (prizes to the winning team)
• Two man Beer Pong Tournament (prizes to the winning team)
• Top Gun Trivia Contest (prizes to the winning table)
• Costume Contest (prizes for the bet Look Alike and the Most Creative)
• Karaoke on the stage at Paddy Murphy’s
• Dunk tank ($1 for three balls, proceeds to Lone Sailor Navy Memorial)
• Games and Activities for children (TP Toss and Pilot Down)
• Top Gun Movie and drink specials with drinking games
• 50/50 (1 ticket for $5 and three tickets for $10 with cash proceeds for the Lone Sailor Navy Memorial)
• Multiple Door prizes
• Drop Site for Navy M*O*M*S (Collection Service for care packages to troops over seas)
• Florida Bloodmobile (on site for blood drive)

This event is to help raise awareness and support for the US Navy and the Lone Sailor Navy Memorial.
